Sharon Yvonne Stone was born on March 10, 1958, in Meadville, Pennsylvania, to accountant Dorothy Lawson and tool and die manufacturer and former factory worker Joseph William Stone II. Three siblings are hers: Michael, Kelly, and Patrick. Stone was considered academically gifted as a child and began the second grade when she was five. In 1975, she graduated from Saegertown high school in Saegertown (Pennsylvania). She also competed in Miss Pennsylvania. Miss Pennsylvania pageant and won Miss Crawford County. Stone relocated together with her aunt from New Jersey, where she was interested in pursuing a modeling career. In the following month, Stone signed up at the Ford Modeling Agency. Stone soon moved to Europe for a time, and lived living in Milan and Paris. Stone unhappy with the world of model within Europe began acting in Europe. Woody Allen's film, "Stardust Memories", was a mixed success in her 20s.
