
Suzanne Pleshette (January 31, 1937 - January 19 2008) was an American film, theatre television, voice actress. Pleshette began her professional career in the theater, and appeared in films in the late 1950s. She was later featured in notable films like Rome Adventure (1962), Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds (1963), or Spirited Away (192001). From 1972 until 1978, Pleshette was a regular guest in a variety of television shows. She was also a part of Emily Hartley, which earned her several Emmy Award nominations. Pleshette, a daughter of Geraldine (nee Kaplan),[1 and Eugene Pleshette, was born January 31, 1937 in Brooklyn Heights. The parents of the couple were Jewish immigrants from Russia and Austria-Hungary. Her mother was an artist, dancer, and choreographer who performed under the stage name Geraldine Rivers. Her father was a stage manager in both the Paramount Theater and Paramount Theater in Manhattan.
